Tremors felt in Delhi-NCR - 6.3 magnitude earthquake hits Nepal
Six persons were killed in a house collapse on Wednesday in the Doti area of Nepal as a result of an earthquake with a value of 6.3 on the Richter scale. Parts of the Delhi-NCR region felt the tremors as well.
"Five injured individuals were being sent to the hospital while five at least six persons were slain. At numerous areas throughout the district, landslides have damaged dozens of homes."
On Wednesday, the earthquake occurred at roughly 1.57 am. According to the National Center for Seismology, Nepal served as the epicentre.
People were awakened from their sleep by the tremors that were felt in Lucknow, Ghaziabad, and the nearby places.The past few days have seen a series of smaller earthquakes in the Himalayan area of Uttarakhand and neighbouring Nepal.
The NCS data indicated that the area had at least two 4.9 and 3.5 magnitude earthquakes late Tuesday night.
