JP Nadda was born 2nd Dec 1960 in Patna, Bihar.He is an Indian Lawyer and politician serving as the President of BJP since 20 January 2020.Currently he is serving as the national president of BJP.

On December 11th, 1991, he wed Dr. Mallika Nadda, a history professor at the Himachal Pradesh University. He joined the ABVP as a student in Himachal Pradesh and Bihar, and has since advanced through its ranks.

He first got involved in politics in 1975 when he joined the Sampurna Kranti movement, which Jaya Prakash Narayan had founded back in the dark days of the emergency. While attending Patna University, he joined the ABVP and got involved in student activism. As an ABVP candidate, he was chosen to serve as Secretary of the Patna University Students' Union in 1977.

He earned his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from the Himachal University after graduating from Patna University. He was sentenced to a 45-day incarceration in 1987 for organising a campaign against the Congress Party, which was in power, by establishing a Rashtriya Sangharsh Morcha.

At the age of 29, he was given a significant duty during the 1989 Lok Sabha elections as election in-charge of the BJP's youth section. Then, in 1991, only three years later, at the age of 31, he was appointed National President of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha. Later, he ran for three times in the Himachal Pradesh Assembly elections and won.
